1. What is your writing process?

I freewrite first, and edit later. Just let it rip and edit later!

2. When did you first start writing?

I first starting writing when I was in the fifth grade. I wrote to please my teachers at the time. Now I write to please myself, and my audience. I started writing "The Malevolent Twin" when I was twenty one years old.

3. What motivated you to become an indie author?

I was motivated to become an indie author because I had a story to tell. "The Malevolent Twin" of course. I wanted to publish my story. Originally, I query literary agents. I was rejected by a few. I decided since I have to funds to I would self-publish. I followed through and here I am.

4. What is the greatest joy of writing for you?

I write, because I have a story to tell. My greatest joy in writing is when I have completed the manuscript. Then send it off to be polished, and manufactured into a book.

5. What's the story behind your latest book?

"The Malevolent Twin" is a parasitic twin phenomenon! “The Malevolent Twin” is the story of a wayward wicked twin with destructive intentions. The Malevolent Twin, is an horror-fantasy thriller, that leads the reader along a dark and suspenseful narrative journey.
Basically the story follows, Avery Tran. She is a young innocent Asian teenager. Venice is her alter ego, and imaginary friend. She has followed Avery all her life, pestering her, and so forth. Avery begins to wonder what Venice really is. Imaginary friend leave after childhood. Venice is still there. Her investigation leads her an abandoned old mobile home, a elderly exorcist, and a quirky albino psychic. Venice turns out to be a parasitic twin, who has been living with Avery since birth. She enacts her revenge against Avery because in the end she feels mistreated, and wants to be free. Venice has dreams, and ambitions of her own. Which you will read about in the book.

6. Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I spent a large part of my childhood in Tyler, Texas. I didn't grow up in the nicest, and cleanest house. I remember reading a lot to avoid the reality of my life back then. Reading books was my salvation and escape back then! Now, being a published author, I feel my own book "The Malevolent Twin" is my salvation.

7. When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?

When I am not writing, I spend my days doing homework for my classes. Currently, I am taking a World Civilizations class that is crushing me! I literally write more than ten pages a week for that class alone. I also cook and clean quite a bit. I also try to hang out with family, and friends as much as possible. Sometimes it is not possible due to my busy lifestyle.... On slow days, I like to sit back and drink a rumchata martini and veg on the couch. This rarely happens. When it does, I enjoy it. Who doesn't enjoy a nice buzz?

8. What do you read for pleasure?

I read self help, non fiction, science fiction, fantasy, young adult, and more....

9. What are you working on next?

I am working on "The Malevolent Twin's Retribution". I already have 44,000 words on it. I don't want to spoil anything until it is published.
